Mission

Tensotend is an Italian company renting and selling tents, marquees and clear span structures of all kinds and sizes.   Thanks to our thirty years of experience, we can supply standard models and also custom structures realized on architectural projects and customer needs.

In particular, for all the structures, our company can offer many  accessories to customize your event and make it one-of-a-kind, such as: flooring, wall systems, interior ceiling liners, climate control and furnishings.

Despite our “young” age,  we are constantly expanding and now we can count on over 100,000 square meters of structures, floors, stages, air conditioning and heating systems: everything you need  for events, conventions, fashion shows, parties, fairs and exhibitions.

Our winning card is the complete internal management: the first contacts, the commercial proposal, the project, the processing of raw materials and logistics become a perfect line that ends with the customer’s satisfaction.

History

Tensotend was born from a sailing trip of our founder: this passion took  him to a workshop of sail-masters where he learned to sew and shape the sails.

A few years later, while studying architecture, he got advantage of that experience and sensed that the sails could be used for other purposes: as light covers for events.

As the sails in a boat are supported by masts, those covers also needed a support having  two characteristics to be suitable for the purpose: lightness and ease of assembly.

In 1987, with the design of the aluminum supporting structure for the sails, Tensotend was born: both pvc canvas and aluminum are materials that can satisfy the needs of light, aesthetic and functional coverings.

A great requests for installations, parties and conventions in the ’80s, gave immediate expansion to the company.  In the 2000s, thanks to the large number of structures produced, it was decided to opt for an internal reorganization starting from a larger site and a subdivision into several departments: offices, metal structural work, cloth production, cloth washing, warehouse and logistic area for loading and unloading.
